Physician AI Trainer – Hospital Medicine

About the Role

micro1 is engaging a Physician AI Trainer with hospital-medicine experience to contribute medical expertise to a customer project focused on inpatient care and documentation standards. You'll apply your adult inpatient clinical training to help train next-generation AI systems, shaping how models learn and reason from real-world clinical input.

What You'll Do

• Review medical records, including FHIR data and clinical notes, for AI training
• Check whether clinical information and claims are supported by the medical record
• Review inpatient adult-medicine documentation: HPI, PMH, medication reconciliation, social history, assessments, and plans
• Identify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent information, including renal/hepatic-adjusted dosing and medication interactions
• Apply consistent standards and share feedback to improve AI model quality

Requirements

• MD or DO, board-certified in Internal Medicine (or with a Hospital Medicine focus)
• At least 5 years of hospitalist experience, with current or recent inpatient work (within 2 years)
• Strong understanding of inpatient documentation and hospital workflows
• Active medical license(s); comfortable reviewing raw clinical notes and records
• Chart review, clinical documentation improvement, or utilization-review experience is a plus

Compensation & Logistics

Remote, limited to the United States, $80-$125/hour. The posting also describes compensation as output-based — experts are paid per completed task meeting specifications, with a weekly minimum task quota — so actual pay may track task output rather than hours logged.
