Cyber Threat Intelligence SME

About the Role

Micro1 is engaging cyber threat intelligence experts for a customer project evaluating and mapping advanced threat scenarios to train AI. No prior AI experience is needed.

What You'll Do

• Map CTI cases to established taxonomies, especially in surveillance and privacy evaluation.
• Write boundary cases showing prohibited surveillance, attribution and intrusion-adjacent requests.
• Grade threat responses on source reliability, analytic reasoning, limitations and usefulness.
• Flag over-refusal where legitimate threat analysis is wrongly declined.
• Document nation-state and advanced-threat edge cases and give concise feedback.

Requirements

• Substantial CTI experience, particularly where nation-state operations meet advanced threats.
• Ability to separate legitimate defensive analysis from offensive or surveillance requests.
• Background in attribution, APT tracking or adversary tactics.
• Clear structured English writing and verbal communication.
• Mentoring or leadership experience; AI evaluation or red-teaming experience is a plus.

Compensation & Logistics

Contractor role, remote, $70-$110 per hour. Screening asks about start time, expected rate, weekly availability and nation-state CTI experience.
