Russian Linguistic Experts

About the Role

Mercor is looking for experienced Russian linguistic experts for an AI research project run with a leading research lab. The work focuses on judging how well a large language model handles Russian-language tasks and on curating high-quality Russian data that helps the model understand and write the language better.

What You'll Do

• Rate the quality and accuracy of model-written Russian text across uses such as translation, summarization, dialogue and grammar correction
• Edit or rewrite Russian content so it meets linguistic and cultural standards
• Annotate Russian text for grammatical, syntactic and semantic features
• Spot model errors and language gaps, and work with AI researchers on fixes
• Give detailed linguistic feedback that guides further training

Requirements

• Native or near-native Russian fluency with strong command of grammar, syntax and style
• Professional background in translation, editing, linguistic annotation or NLP data work in Russian
• Good grasp of nuance, regional variation and context-appropriate usage
• Strong attention to detail and a good eye for unnatural phrasing
• Clear communication and experience in distributed remote teams
• Interest in AI and LLM technology is a plus, not required

Compensation & Logistics

• Pay: $50/h, paid hourly
