About the Role

Experienced Kubernetes engineers are needed to review the quality, correctness and production-readiness of tasks used to train and evaluate a frontier AI lab's models.

What You'll Do

  • Assess cluster-operations scenarios for realism and correctness
  • Check manifests and Helm charts for correctness
  • Review failure-mode troubleshooting tasks
  • Provide clear, rubric-based written feedback

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on production Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS or self-managed)
  • Deep knowledge of cluster internals: CNI, DNS, ingress, PV/PVC storage, RBAC, and failure modes (CrashLoopBackOff, OOMKilled, scheduling and eviction)
  • Experience authoring and reviewing manifests or Helm charts and debugging live incidents
  • Proficiency in Go, Python or TypeScript
  • Preferred: CKA or CKAD; service mesh, autoscaling and observability (Istio, HPA, Prometheus, Grafana); SRE, platform engineering or task-grading experience

Compensation & Logistics

  • Pay: $70-$90 per hour
  • Commitment: about 40 hours per week
  • Remote, United States only
