Psychiatry Expert - AI Training

About the Role

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to train frontier models on high-quality healthcare reasoning data. We are hiring Psychiatry experts to design clinical scenarios, evaluate model outputs against evidence-based standards, and help shape how the next generation of AI reasons about mental health care.

Open to general adult Psychiatry attendings, Child & Adolescent, Addiction, Forensic, Consultation-Liaison, and Geriatric Psychiatry subspecialists, as well as final-year Psychiatry residents.

What You'll Do

• Design clinically realistic prompts and scenarios drawn from your Psychiatry practice, spanning diagnostic formulation, medication management, risk assessment, psychotherapy fidelity, and capacity evaluation
• Write "golden" reference responses at attending-level quality
• Grade AI-generated responses against structured rubrics
• Provide written feedback that the research team uses to improve model behavior
• Participate in onboarding office hours and specialty calibration sessions

The engagement is fully remote, 100% asynchronous, and paid weekly via Stripe or Wise.

Who This Is For

• Attending Physicians who are board certified with a current, active, unrestricted medical license
• Resident Physicians in their final year of residency (recent graduates must be board-eligible)
• Fellows who are board-certified or board-eligible in their primary specialty with a current, active, unrestricted medical license

Compensation & Logistics

• Type: Hourly Contract
• Compensation: $150-$350/hour, set per seniority tier
• Location: Remote (US, UK, Europe, or Australia; US preferred, 20 hrs/week default)
