How the CV readiness score works

The score is a checklist of CV best practices for remote and AI-training applications. It is not a simulation of any employer's or platform's system and it cannot predict any outcome.

Each of six categories starts at its maximum. Every check that fails subtracts points: the full penalty for an important issue, half for a warning and a quarter for a suggestion. A category never goes below zero. The score is the sum of the six categories.

Category weights (out of 100)

  • Format and readability20
  • Structure15
  • Contact and privacy details10
  • Impact and results20
  • Remote and AI-training fit20
  • Language and clarity15

Some checks use cautious wording (“possible photo”, “possible columns”) because the file may be read differently by different tools. Rules about photos, birth dates, marital status and ID numbers describe conventions for English-language applications; follow the employer's instructions if they ask for them.

Limits: the check reads the text of your file. It cannot judge the quality of your experience, your interview or any platform's decision. We do not train models on your CV.
