Generalist (Must own MacBook)
About the Role
Mercor is looking for detail-oriented people with 2-3 years of experience in STEM or non-STEM fields, or current postgraduate students, to support a research project with a leading AI lab by benchmarking and improving advanced AI models.
What You'll Do
- Create high-quality research questions, answers and evaluation materials to train language models
- Gather and clearly summarize information from diverse sources
- Work on clearly structured tasks without the pressure typical of internships or full-time consulting
Requirements
- A MacBook with an Apple M-series chip (Apple Silicon Macs; MacBook Air models need macOS 15 or higher) - mandatory
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's, or 2-3 years of relevant experience plus a Bachelor's from a prestigious institution
- Strong online research and written communication skills
- An interdisciplinary degree is a plus
Compensation & Logistics
- Pay: $50-$60 per hour
- Part-time, about 10-20 hours per week; immediate start preferred
