Mercor is hiring legal experts to compare and critique AI answers on case law, contracts and regulation. Remote, $90/h.

## About the Role
Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research lab to train frontier models on rigorous legal reasoning. Legal Experts review pairs of model outputs on difficult problems involving case law, contracts and regulation.

## What You'll Do
- Compare two AI responses to one prompt and decide which is better
- Read the input files and the models' reasoning to support your judgment
- Write clear explanations citing legal accuracy, soundness of reasoning and client-readiness
- Provide feedback the research team uses to improve model behavior
- Join onboarding and specialty calibration sessions

## Requirements
- J.D., LL.B., LL.M. or equivalent law degree, or equivalent professional legal experience
- 2+ years practicing or researching law (law firm, in-house, government or judiciary)
- Solid legal research and writing skills, including case-law analysis
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail

## Compensation & Logistics
- Pay: $90/h
- Workload: flexible, 10-20 hours per week
- Fully remote; starts immediately, rolling review of applications
