Design realistic, gradable finance and accounting benchmark tasks to test AI systems as a Finance & Accounting Expert contractor. Remote worldwide, up to $90/hr, paid per approved task.

## About the Role
Micro1 is engaging experienced finance and accounting practitioners to build benchmark tasks that measure what AI systems can really do. The job is to turn real finance workflows into realistic, difficult tasks that can be graded against objective criteria. No prior AI experience is needed.

## What You'll Do
- Design multi-step tasks from real work such as FP&A analysis, financial reporting, audit procedures and reconciliations, with reference files and clear instructions
- Write objective grading criteria so two qualified reviewers reach the same verdict
- Create or source supporting material: spreadsheets, GL extracts, financial statements, policy documents
- Build tasks that need judgment rather than simple lookup
- Flag ambiguous or ungradable tasks instead of submitting them
- Deliver approved tasks on schedule at the required quality

## Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on ownership in FP&A, financial reporting, audit, reconciliations or accounting (not supervisory-only)
- Experience creating or applying review standards such as audit programs, checklists or grading rubrics
- Strong Excel skills and comfort reasoning across several documents
- Strong written English (B2 advanced or C1 minimum)
- CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent is a plus; AI or LLM evaluation experience is a plus

## Compensation & Logistics
Pay is up to $90/hour equivalent (listed range $40-$90/hr), project-based and paid per approved task, with roughly 10 hours per task. Fully remote with no geographic restrictions. Selection: screening questions, a role-specific AI interview, profile review, then onboarding.
